Cubs from the 3rd/9th Welwyn Garden City Scout Group based in Great Dell, assisted by parents, spent the morning of the 29th of March 2015 in Sherrardspark Wood helping the Wood Wardens to remove temporary plastic net fencing and create new brushwood fences around coppiced area of the wood.

They were working towards "our world" badge, which involves assisting with a community project. As the Cubs normally spend so much time in the woods, on this occasion they decided to support the Wood Wardens. The Cubs enjoyed their experience and will be returning to join us in the future.
