Work parties are again looking after the wood on Thursday and Sunday mornings.
Work in the autumn included more coppicing and we have now moved on to planting. Scores of whips including hazel and hawthorn have been planted already, together with some more of the carefully selected 'prime oak' seedlings which we hope will develop into fine massive oaks to be enjoyed by future generations.
Alongside this has been a great deal of work on path improvement, much appreciated by visitors to the woods during the recent period of very wet weather.
